GIFTS, DINNER & PARTY
How does this work? If there are no cards left on the tree, please bring in socks (any sizes) or fleece (to make lap quilts for the Senior Center in Ranson).
Why are we doing this? Adopt-a-Family is not in operation this year. Michelle Leeper, a Girl Scout, is working on her Gold Award (the equivalent of the Eagle Scout for a Boy Scout). She wanted to coordinate a project that would help others and provide a “personal touch”, offering both a dinner and a Christmas party for children in need.
What about the dinner and party? You are also invited to the Dinner & Christmas Party on Thursday, December 19th at 6:00 p.m. We want as many parishioners (and children) to attend the party as possible. If you are bringing children, they should come at 4:00 p.m. for the craft activities and games. The children (who are part of the Boys and Girls Club) who are not fortunate to receive gifts on their own will be present, with their families. Gifts will be given at the end of the evening; however all children will receive a gift bag. Our hope is to “build bridges” bringing children of the Boys & Girls club together with other folks who would like to celebrate the spirit of the season.
