Catch the Wave of God’s Amazing Love

Vacation Bible School

Grab your sunglasses and sunscreen and run to catch the waves at Zion’s 2016 VBS, where children go to the beach to meet people of deep faith from both the Old Testament and the New Testament. Sessions begin with the children (Surfers) gathering for assembly time at the Surf Shack where Skipper and Snappy the Crab Puppet introduce each session’s key ideas, Pop-Up Verses, and Wave Words to the Surfers. The Surfers go to Surf Central Factory via video to visit Ty, Pixel, and Epic as they build surfboards that relate to each session’s theme.
Next, Surfers take the Epic Ride at the Story  Deck where the Bible story is presented to them as they discover a common water theme that ties all the Bible stories together and emphasizes the amazing power of God’s love.

Lifeguards take the Surfers to the Craft Hut, the Discovery Dunes, and the Recreation Station, where they enjoy crafts, science activities, and games.
Tidal Tunes provide music with hand and body motions that reinforce the Bible truths and key learnings related to living life with God. Surfers stop at Shack Snacks where snacks reflect the theme for each day’s session.
