Miss Laurie and Miss Ericka
During April, we learned about Holy Week and Easter. We talked about the words HOSANNA and ALLELUIA. We put the events of Holy Week in sequential order and made donkey puppets. We concluded our discussion with the Resurrection and made butterflies.
We have begun our unit “The Church Sings” and have learned that music is a major form of religious expression. The children will study ways to appreciate the Church’s singing and will use music and singing to express their feelings about God.
In May, we will make Mothers’ Day cards, take a nature walk, and make prayer pretzels.
We will conclude the month with Pentecost and a birthday celebration along with a graduation ceremony. Miss Ericka and I have totally enjoyed teaching the children this year!
