PRESIDING BISHOP TO VISIT OUR DIOCESE
It is with great joy and pleasure that the Diocese announces the visitation of the Presiding Bishop Katharine Jeffferts Schori to the Diocese of West Virginia. She will be arriving September 30th and traveling the diocese in order to meet as many of you as possible.
Please note that the following is our working plan, but may have to be adjusted with regard to the Presiding Bishop’s schedule and hopes. On September 30th, the Diocese will host a dinner, service and conversation at Blessed John XXIII Pastoral Center in Charleston. October 2nd, she will move onto Wheeling, where she will tour the area prior to meeting with people at Lawrencefield Parish for a service, dessert, and conversation. After spending the night at Sandscrest, she will move on to Christ Church, Fairmont on Sunday, October 3rd, where she will be the celebrant and hold another conversation.
She will be arriving at Trinity Church, Shepherdstown next. Trinity will hold the final service, dinner and conversation with her prior to her departure. More information and reservation forms will follow. If you wish to meet her, this is a wonderful opportunity to do so.
