SOUPER BOWL & BOY SCOUT SUNDAY – A DAY OF CARING
Sunday, February 7, 2010
This national event held every year on the same Sunday as the NFL’s Super Bowl is traditionally led by youth who stand at sanctuary exits following worship services on that Sunday and collect $1 and/or one can of soup from each parishioner. The money and soup collected supports our local Jefferson County Community Ministries Food Pantry.
We are going to going to have 2 boxes at the back of the church for you to place your canned soup into. If you are rooting for New Orleans Saints, then you place your canned soup into that box. If you are rooting for the Indianapolis Colts, then place your canned soup into that box. We will see who wins by the number of cans in each box.
